Mobile Software
It’s easy to install our mobile software on your phone, BlackBerry or PDA. Just follow the instructions below to get started within minutes.
Detailed instructions: Mobile phones and BlackBerrys
First, pick one of these options:
1. Text 'mobile' to 80800 (*a free, UK-only service)
2. Log in to PureDeal and go into My Account. Submit the form on the Mobile Setup page
3. Type www.igmobile.com into your phone’s web browser and follow the instructions
Downloading the software
If you use one of the first two methods, we will send a WAP Push message to your phone. When you receive this, select 'Download' to install the software. You may be asked to connect to the server to start the installation.
Finding the software
Once you have installed the software on your phone, the Mobile Dealing icon will appear somewhere in the phone's menu. Where exactly it appears may depend on your device – most likely places are Programs, Applications or Games. (See Troubleshooting for more suggestions.) The Mobile Dealing icon should look like this:

For BlackBerrys, when you first open the application you will be asked if your connection is through a proxy server. If you have a corporate BlackBerry it probably goes through a proxy connection and so you should check this option. Personal BlackBerry devices are unlikely to access through a proxy. Please see our Troubleshooting page to find out more.
When logging in, you should choose to accept any security messages. If asked to allow permission for your phone to send and receive data, select ‘Yes’. If you are asked which data network to use, please select the 'Always ask' option, and then choose to connect using GPRS. You should now be ready to trade.
Detailed instructions: PDAs
Prepare for the installation by connecting your PDA to your PC via the USB cradle (our Troubleshooting section can tell you more about this). Before downloading our software, you’ll need to check that your PDA has Java installed. To do this, select Programs from the Start menu on your PDA and see if Jeode is available. If it's there, Java is already installed.
If you don't have Java installed, you’ll need to install this first. You can get this free of charge by logging into this site and visiting the Mobile Support page in the My Account section. (See Troubleshooting page for further instructions.)
Downloading the software
Once you have Java on your PDA, Click the Download for PDA button below, and select Open or Run. This will begin the installation. Please follow the on-screen prompts.

Finding the software
Once installed, select Programs and then the Mobile Dealing folder to find the Mobile Dealing application.
Please note that some PDAs can use the software for standard mobile phones by navigating to www.igmobile.com. If you want to use that version, you will need to have a MIDlet manager listed in your programs. Once you have installed the software it will be located in the MIDlet manager.
GPRS
To use our mobile platform, you'll need to have GPRS correctly configured on your mobile device. Visit our GPRS page for instructions on how to do this.
